Transportation
The mission of Aransas Pass ISD Transportation is to provide safe, reliable and professional transportation service for our students according to the parameters set forth by the District's policy, and in adherence to applicable State and Federal Laws.
Aransas Pass ISD offers the privilege of Bus Transportation for all eligible students. Eligibility is determined by application of BOARD policy. Effective transportation service requires cooperation among bus drivers & staff, school administrators, students and parents/guardians. We ask that you read and discuss the transportation handbook with your students to promote a clear understanding of the responsibilities and expectations. Riding the school bus is a privilege provided by the school district and should be treated as such. To ignore these rules will result in disciplinary action including suspension of bus riding privileges.
Bus Registration is held during One-Stop Registration. We also register during Meet the Teacher Night at all campuses. All forms will be turned in at the Bus Barn. No additional information is needed. Parents please remember we only pick up and drop off students at their designated bus stops (parents, grandparents, and or daycare facility. The parents must register their children every year to be allowed to ride the bus. Every student must be registered even if they were registered the previous year.
The last page of the transportation handbook is a Safe Bus Rider’s contract. Please complete the contract by providing all information. Sign the contract and return it to your bus driver or Bus Barn. Transportation service may be denied if this contract is not returned.
If you have any questions concerning the routes, please call the Bus Barn at 361-758-3416 or the Transportation office at 361-758-1979.
If you have any questions concerning bus discipline on the bus, please contact the principal at the school your child attends.
We appreciate your cooperation and support.
