Welcome to Panther Country - Misty Del Angel | Principal Charlie Marshall Elementary School

Aransas Pass ISD Superintendent Dr. Glenn Barnes has announced the hiring of Misty Del Angel to serve as Principal at Charlie Marshall Elementary School. Del Angel will join APISD after most recently serving as Principal at Santa Gertrudis ISD.

Before beginning her career in education, Del Angel’s professional experiences include eleven years in various areas of customer service management, where she gained a plethora of insight that always aids in looking at the bigger picture.

Del Angel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science with an Emphasis in Education from Ashford University, her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, and her Principal Certificate in Leadership from Lamar University. Del Angel taught middle school students in subjects including English Reading Language Arts and English as a Second Language. She gained valuable insights and contributed to the educational community during her tenure as an Assistant Principal at Rockport-Fulton ISD for grades 3-5, and as Principal at Santa Gertrudis ISD.

Of her leadership philosophy, Del Angel says she leads with the driving question - “What is best for kids?”.

“I want our students to love to come to school and acquire a love for learning,” said Del Angel. “We have the power to create and maintain that atmosphere. I aspire to be a transformational leader and strive for improvement in myself each and every single day. My goal is to become an integral part of the Charlie Marshall Community, where we work collaboratively as a team towards the common goal of growth. I am so excited to be joining Aransas Pass ISD. I can’t wait to get started!”
